Description

The BIBB/BAuA-Employment Survey is a repeated cross-sectional, representative survey of core employed persons in Germany who are at least 15 years old and are engaged in paid work of at least 10 hours per week. So far, the survey has been conducted seven times, between 1979 and 1999 by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) in cooperation with the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and since 2006 in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). The computer assisted telephone interview (CATI) survey focuses on questions related to the workplace (areas of activity, work requirements, workloads, etc.) as well as stress and health impairments. Moreover, information concerning the relationship between education and further training and employment in a broader sense was gathered. Different occupational classifications allow a differentiated presentation according to occupations and training occupations.
